04.00 AM - 05.00 AM: Pickup from your hotel in Phuket or Khao Lak
Rise and shine (we know it's a bit early, but trust us, it's absolutely worth it)! Make your way to the pier where you'll encounter our cheerful tour guide. Hotel transfer START from your hotel at Phuket 4:00 AM and from Khao Lak 5:00 AM. The speedboat departs from the pier at around 7:00 am, setting sail towards the stunning horizon of the Surin Islands.

Historically, the Moken Sea Gypsies were renowned for their nomadic lifestyle, expertly navigating the islands and residing in various picturesque bays. However, today they've made a permanent home on Surin Tai, the larger of the southern islands.
Ao Bon Yai, the welcoming Moken village, is composed of 70 households, a vibrant community of 300 individuals. The village isn't just a residential hub; it also boasts essential community resources including a health center, a school, and an information center. Wonderful experience with elephants!
This was one of the most beautiful trips we've ever made. The elephants really live here species-appropriate - no riding, no coercion, just peace and respect. We could feed them, take them for a walk and experience them up close. The atmosphere was totally relaxed, nothing was overflowing or touristic exaggerated. Also the guides were super friendly and told a lot about the animals and the background of the project. You can tell immediately: Here, the welfare of animals is paramount.
