Behind the Scenes: Elephant Healthcare
At Elephant Jungle Sanctuary, we are committed to providing the highest standard of veterinary care for every elephant in our protection. True elephant healthcare goes beyond treating injuries and illnesses—it means taking proactive steps to prevent disease and detect potential health issues as early as possible.
Our mahouts receive ongoing training in basic veterinary care, enabling them to perform daily physical examinations, manage minor injuries, and identify early signs of common conditions quickly and accurately.
In partnership with The Care Project Foundation, we have established on-site elephant clinics at several sanctuary locations. Additionally, the TCPF Mobile Elephant Clinic allows our expert veterinary team to respond swiftly to emergencies—anytime, anywhere—ensuring round-the-clock care for our elephants.

Bathing with the Elephants
