Phang Nga Bay
Phang-Nga Bay is part of the Andaman Sea, which is itself part of the mighty Indian Ocean. With a surface area of approximately 400 km², Ao Phang-Nga (where "Ao" means Bay in Thai) has been a Thai National Marine Park, thanks to the heavens. This means no hotels, resorts, bars, boutiques, or mass tourism. „Just pristine nature at its finest!“ The bay contains 42 islands and islets. It makes no sense to visit them all; Although all are beautiful, only a few are truly spectacular due to their shape, the external stalactites, and the fantastic caves and lagoons with mangroves inside.
These are all that remains of an ancient coral reef system that extended across the shallow seas of Southeast Asia during the Permian Period (approximately 250 million years ago). The remnants, the islands that you have seen today, are known as “karsts”. The plants on these wonderful limestone karsts must endure desiccation in the dry season, an almost total absence of soil, and harsh exposure to the elements. Animals also require special adaptations to survive in such a hostile environment.

11:00: ARRIVE AT AO POR PIER
Reach Ao por pier, located in the north-eastern part of Phuket, When you’re on the boat, please don’t dispute wearing the life jackets; It seems to be legally mandated, and the crew will be under the observation of authorities while they are at or close to the pier. Set off for The National Park Phang Nga Bay, fun, and safety presentation. 3-person inflatable canoes: the guide, who handles all the paddling, is seated at the back with 2 guests in front. 3G/4G service is available in the majority of the bay.
11:40: CRUISE TO THE BEACH
There will be ample drinking water and snacks available. It is also a good moment to use that sunscreen. It was also a good moment to gain your “sea legs” and practice walking on the boat. This offered a chance to use the canoes and paddle ourselves, or just enjoy a swim at the beach.
12:20: PANAK ISLAND
Paddle and discover the two most renowned islands (Panak Island), venture into caves measuring 20-150 m. (dimly lit, lengthy) guide you through the caverns and lagoons, revealing monkeys, bats, walking fish, and remarkable rock formations.
13:30: BUFFET LUNCH SERVED ON BOARD
Included a variety of Thai options and fresh fruit but nothing too spicy, our trip included a drive-by of the iconic James Bond Island, stopping several minutes for a photo opportunity (No visiting due to it ‘s always very crowded)
15:30: HONG ISLAND
Upon reaching Hong Island, the most renowned island, you will find a circle of rocks in the sea encircling the lagoon. On the last return journey to the pier, BBQ Chickens are also served.
18:00: BACK TO THE PIER
Arrive at the pier and transfer to the hotel.
